Have just finished mastering SECRET HEALING MEDITATIONS, which is actually my first spoken-word guided meditation recording. It's the first CD of a series of guided meditations, which has been on the drawing board for some time.

Well, after battling wind-storms (which make recording quietly an impossibility in my little studio), i just had to bite-the-bullet and do the best i could to re-record the vocals for a film soundtrack.

I have been toying with idea of getting a booth in the studio for a while, but i like the rawness of an open room, and a bit of nature noise in the background makes it unique. I justify it by saying to myself that my present studio is only temporary, so making a recording booth would not only take up room i don't have, but also have to be pulled down once the new studio is complete.
~sigh~
sometimes though, clinical, sterile tracks are required, and it does make it a LOT easier to mix. Oh well. I hope these vocals make it through ok...

For a rework on an old and very LONG piece of music, i must say that i never realised how much of a challenge this soundtrack was going to be.
Now that my job is over in recording the music, i realise how unique an opportunity it has been. How many other artists get a chance to rework a very successful project like this, expand on it, and present it in a format that is mind-blowingly rich in it's visual artistry?
I feel honoured indeed...

After searching for what seems like forever, i finally found a name for a new meditation cd project I have been working on, one of a series. It was my dear friend, photographer Clare McClelland, who came up with the suggestion which led to the title. We were talking about the joys of serendipity, when she asked me if i had ever named a song "serendipity"...then it hit me. Handed on a silver platter.
The recording project now has a working title of "Serendipity's Cup", and is likely to kick off in full swing sometime around sept 2008.

Ok, so every week i get emails asking me to PLEASE make my photographs and the graphics from my CD covers available for purchase, and HEY! I FINALLY got it together...almost.
The really cool thing is that you can get these images as greeting cards, posters or canvases & prints (BTW, the images aren't all square like they appear on the slide-show here). Ah, totally cool. More images on the way...

Unlike the original film, CORAL SEA DREAMING 2 is being produced for theatrical release, so cinema junkies...brace yourselves for an incredible undersea experience. There is still a long way to go in production, so don't be lining up at your local IMAX theatre just yet. We'll keep you posted...

Well, photographer Clare McClelland and I are about to emark on another of our NAKED series. So far we've had NAKED - Drifting in Antarctica, and NAKED - Songs of the Desert.
We just finished a photo shoot the other week for our Angels film, and are planning another soon. Our ideas for an exhibition are flying untethered all over the place...and we're off and rrrrracinnnnng!
Both being as busy as we are, it can be tricky, but we're a bit unstopable once we start.
Maybe it's the laughter that keeps the ideas constantly flowing....
